Serving with Honor Hunger Banquet
The annual Serving with Honor Hunger Banquet was held in Royer about a week ago. It was actually the reason why the Humanities meeting was moved to the other room. At the banquet, everyone gets a card that has an economic class on it. Depending on which card you got, you either got a small amount of rice for dinner, pizza, or a fancy pasta dinner with cheesecake for dessert. I got the rice, but everyone got to eat pizza afterward. We then had a discussion about hunger and watched a documentary about hunger in Africa and ways to combat malnutrition. I learned about a new food product they use called 'plumpynut' which cures malnutrition. It was a good experience and anyone can participate in the banquet if you want to come next year.
