Just got back from the Men in White play at the Drake! It was pretty good.
It takes place during the 1930's. In short, it was about this young doctor (George Ferguson) who is interning at a hospital. He is engaged to this curly-haired girl named Laura who has a rich father who is a bigwig in Real Estate. Ferguson is also studying under an older doctor/mentor named Dr. Hochberg. Dr. Ferguson is the main character and the play focuses on the difficulty he has with managing and keeping separate, his personal and professional life.
I can't really say much else about it because it will ruin the entire show for those of you who (may) intend to see it.
The end is pretty sad, though.
You'll feel bad for Dr. Ferguson.
There is also an awkward and, in my opinion, unnecessary solo dance after the intermission. He snapped his fingers a lot and the choreography was fairly substandard.
Overall, the play was not too bad! I recommend it to those of you who have a few hours to kill and don't mind plays about doctors and such.
