Gobal Gallery: Clintonville
Wednesday night was the Fair Trade Event at the Global Gallery in Clintonville. For everyone who isn't familiar with Global Gallery, it is a shop with two locations close to campus: one in the Short North and one in Clintonville. This event was an open house, and we were able to learn more about what "fair trade" means and how we can support it. The space itself is really cool, they have a shop, of course, a meeting area in the back, a small cafe (with fair trade coffee, of course) with plenty of seating and free wi-fi. Check it out!

I also attended this Fair Trade Event in Clintonville. I had no idea that certain goods from other regions of the world were "fair trade," meaning those who had a hand in producing them are paid fairly. The shop was really neat. It was packed full of handmade items from plates and bowls to soaps and coffee. There is another location in the Short North. They are always looking for volunteers, so stop by one of the locations and fill out a form!
